Co-director Melinda Bow is a certified practicing Speech Pathologist with over 20 years of experience. Graduating from Flinders University in 1994, she has worked extensively with children and adults with a range of communication and swallowing disorders. Melinda’s special interest areas include developmental delay, voice disorders and dysphagia.

Susan Dodd
Co-director Susan Dodd graduated from The University of Queensland in 1995, and has over 20 years speech pathology experience working across the education, hospital, community and private practice sectors. Susan works primarily with children and adolescents, with special interest areas including motor speech disorders, autism, developmental delay and cochlear implants.

Kendall McSherry
Kendall is a Townsville local and graduated from James Cook University (JCU) in 2009. She has 10 years speech pathology experience.
Kendall has a special interest in working with children and adults with a disability, and is experienced in implementing Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). She also enjoys assisting children to develop their speech and language skills.

Penny Hain
Penny graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland in 2007. She has over 11 years speech pathology experience within Australia and the United Kingdom, in a range of public health settings and private practice. Penny’s experience includes communication and feeding. She has supported children with a range of complex communication and swallowing needs, such as developmental delay, Down Syndrome, and autism. Penny also has a keen interest in paediatric feeding and swallowing difficulties, including infant feeding.
Penny has completed specialised training and can offer the following programs:

Tash Austin-Brown
Tash has been involved in office administration and customer service for 7 years. She has a range of knowledge in the processes of referral into our service, the funding options that may be available and the process of attending your first and ongoing therapy sessions.
It is likely that she will be the person who will answer your calls, send out your appointment reminders and respond to most emails.
Tash is an essential part to our provision of therapy services.
She has extensive experience in navigating the NDIS payment systems and processes and is an excellent contact within our service if you have questions about the process of registering.
